The video stabilization is pretty nice on the 4S! Totally agree about finding that zone where you can put so much effort into something. Your doing a great thing with this website – keep it up!

Yeah, that’s it-they were looking at your haircut lol
your words ring true – keep up the good work buddy

Enjoyed the post, as usual, Jacob…felt like I was walking along right beside you…can I count that as my exercise for today?

Awesomeness bud! You're right! Devoting yourself to that one thing pays off. Maybe not right away, but it does come around, ya know! I was really feeling this video Jacob! Man, you really have me missing the city. Who knows maybe I'll be back there one of these days. I hope it's sooner than later. I get seriously home sick looking at the your background here. Oh well, keep em coming Jay!! Peace, bro!

loved it!
guess when u r in ur chosen path you dnt even realize how many hours u r actually putting at it…you love it and u do it all dayy through….and everyone else wonders…how can u work this hard "like a monster" ? :) -
Hahah man your positive attitude is contagious.
Here's a semi-related question – How'd you get over the weirdness of talking into a camera as if you're talking to someone? Obviously these videos need to be recorded in this way, but shooting a video as I walk/run on a public street is something I often think of doing, but ultimately start thinking about what I'd say, then convince myself that the message is unclear (or some other show-stopping BS)
Thoughts? I know I need to 'cut the BS and just go for it' but I struggle with pulling the trigger.

Hey Timmy, I can help you out with this one. I've recorded a few videos of me talking and doing cool shit around Perth (here's the latest one: http://www.thefeelgoodlifestyle.com/the-feel-good… and what I realized is that it's talking to a camera while walking is only weird for the first few seconds.. then you honestly just stop giving a crap lol.
-
So basically, you just gotta start, and soon enough you'll find your flow and it won't be as weird as you think.
Also, it can help to have your headphones on, that way you're kind in your own world and you can even put on a pump up song to help you get over the fear :P
Go for it bro! Cheers,
Phil-

Funny how we can never look at our own life, our own work, objectively isn't? I know when I look at my website for instance, I see the things that are missing, the things that could be better, etc.. while others see what's there, what's great about it. So yeah maybe once in a while we need someone else to remind us that we're crushing it.
Loved the format btw, super simple but it's real and it's fun to listen to you tell the story & build in a life lesson.
Looking forward to more Walk & Talk vids!
PEACE!

Great thought, Jacob. So many of us want to find that "mode" however we don't want to do the work required to claim our genius mode. As you mentioned of your roommate (and of your own work), it takes hours of dedication for days, months, years and decades to get to the point of that level of observable external success. The challenge to each of us is will we do the internal work to make it happen?

Jacob, I really enjoyed this post man.. Like you mentioned, the key is finding our own lane and then fully dedicating ourselves to it. Everybody is definitely capable of being a "beast" and you laid that out for us in the video as you described the parallels between your roommate and yourself.
This post was very encouraging. From watching, I was reminded to do what works for ME and to not get caught up with what everybody else is doing. If I stick to what I'm good at and fully immerse myself, everything will work out fine. Thanks for the great post and stay 100% bro!
