And if you don’t know who Gary Vaynerchuk is yet, check out his latest endeavor here:
By the way, notice at 3:20 i take a pause in the video. This is my mind: “Did Pandora really just put this Janet Jackson song on while i’m shooting………. Okay, roll with it.” See if you can notice me shaking my head “no.”
Chat soon yo!
On pupose,

Loved this! Exactly what I needed to hear at exactly the right time. Thanks, J :)

Nice video. Love the mental gymnastics at 3:20! You don't need validation, but I did have a fun idea that's "all for you" (and Nathan) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32Oe0rqZXIU
The Domino Project created the SXSW pokes book- great blurbs, inspiring quotes from attendees. I think y'all should help/compile an "Art of Nonconformity" pokes book when you go to that rally in Portland. You could view it as using your gifts in service :) Be all you can be, baby! -
I can count on one hand the amount of people to "get me" and what I'm doing here in my life. If I waited of anyone in my life to validate what I do…I would never move. It's funny though, I still have those parental validation wishes…It does NOT cripple me…I continue to exceed even my own expectations, however, there is still that part of me, waiting for hte pat on the head telling me I'm doing good.
Oh well…I just keep growing, and have had an opportunity to share and watch a close friend grow as well. THAT is just about all the validation I need…cause I know in my heart, what I am doing it good…and sharing it is also good!

Regarding Janet….. there are no coincidences in life, she was talking to YOU! What was she saying that you were ment to hear?

Awesome video man. This one really resonated deeply with me. It's so inspiriational to hear about guys like Tim and Gary especially for me personally as I've been having some doubting thoughts lately. Knowing that persistent action will always break through is a great realisation. Thanks!

VALIDATION…that,my brother, is my worst weakest spot…
I have spent my whole life craving approvals…and I have become aware of it over time,to the extent that these days,I do do a few things by my will instead of that of dad or mom or whoever…but thats been uncomfortable as hell…and that too,has been for really small things, like what to wear or what songs I play(yes…my dad still holds pretty strict opinions on such issues and doesn't get very happy about my choices)…guess it's been my strict upbringing that has made me always giving in to other's will lest they disapprove…and I ain't too proud of it…
I am really grateful that you put up this video…coz it really resonated with me reminding of my own inner struggles….
this,in fact,is an issue that I,really desperately seek to find a way out….so, thank you so much for the pointers :) -
Hey Jacob,
just a bit of honest feedback. I think the content of your videos is amazing, seriously. However, I think that the way you
present it is keeping you from communicating it in the best way possible. A couple of tips 1) try looking into the camera
more time instead of looking away to think about what you're going to say. if you could improve that im sure many viewers
get more of that feeling that you are actually talking to them, directly to them, as if you were looking them in the eyes. 2) how
about some cool music and sound effects? something like adding a few seconds of music at the beginning and end of
each video. or you could also add visual effects or text for the more visual-type of people. for example if you're talking about
the 3 keys to earn more money you could add a short line at the bottom of the video such as "key number 1: ask and you
shall be given" and then when you start talking about key number 2, it changes to "key number 2…"Hope this helps!
Thanks for everything you do, you have been a great inspiration lately,
Killian

Hey J. Sup? This topic spoke to a part of my personality I don't maintain often. Call it astrological, but being a Taurus results in pride being one of my hardest challenges. Validation, of course, falls right in line; I can say from experience that seeking validation is a fruitless endeavor. There will always, always be at least one person who's job is to hate on everything including me, including you. That's why I learned to look at any attention as just that: Attention. Whether someone loves or hates me and what I do or how I think, it shouldn't matter. In order for them to know enough about me to hate in the first place means I am not invisible [and that I am leaving a footprint which could result in a legacy]. That said, I also believe that for every hater are at least three potential people who will appreciate the work I put into something. Ferriss was rejected 26 times but now has at least a hundred-million people who appreciate him for what he is doing. His success, as well as other similar stories really inspire me and I express my gratitude to you, Jacob, for bringing this message to my attention this day. Thanks! =]
