Wisdom For Extraordinary Living
I’m Going To A Jets Game With Gary Vaynerchuk!!!
“I insist you throw caution to the wind, ignore the pleas of parents, coaches, spouses, and bosses to be “realistic.” Realistic people do not accomplish extraordinary things because the odds against success stymie them. The best performers ignore the odds. I will show you that instead of limiting themselves to what’s probable, the best will pursue the heart-pounding, exciting, really big, difference-making dreams – so long as catching them might be possible.” -John Eliot

A Long Time Coming
Day #EIGHTEEN arrived and Sam Cooke sung to my soul that a change must come. I came to two conclusions conducive to the curing of my ever so slipping sanity:
- Even though i haven’t heard back from Gary in 10 days, i need to announce on my site that i’ve taken on this challenge.
- I need to venture to a far away land where internet connections and computers are near nonexistent….. Korean bathhouse time!
I posted “I’ve Been Challenged to Find Gary Vee… I Accept!“, and got ready to disconnect from the internet – forever! But, before i threw the duces up and said “peace out yooo”, i snuck a peak at my homeboy Gary Vaynerchuk’s twitter page.

Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine
Interesting… Since at this point i’m a regular ol’ Columbo, i remembered that Gary sometimes check’s his emails while he’s flying. Now may be the perfect time to chime in and remind him of the email he said that he’d read. I shoot him the email, re-tweeted ‘em and cut the cord. Time to disconnect and hit the spa.
5:30pm rolls around and i go to take my girlfriend to work. I’m itchen’ to check my phone but diligently muster up the discipline to wait until my girl and i part ways. Being present with her is a big practice of mine.
Time to tap back into cyberspace. I see a text from an unknown number who turned out to be my bad ass mastermind amiga Electra saying “Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine!!! You giddy yet??? Yayuh!!!“
What the crack did that mean? What Electra knew which i didn’t was that good ol’ Gary got back to me on twitter:

Yikes!!
Judging by the tonality of his virtual voice, it looks like me cursing at Gary publicly on his twitter page may have struck a nerve or two.
At this point i still had no idea what the horse’s head-hair her text meant. Now i’m curious so i make way through my phone and maneuver into my emails.
Are you ready? No, wait wait, take a second to sit down (i only read blog post’s standing up, seriously). I still don’t think that you’re ready for this:

A world of words couldn’t possibly describe the deep physiological reaction i felt after reading this. I ran upstairs to share the stunning news with my girl. She said it was somewhat like a shaking slash scary man was making his way towards her. Mr. Scary Shaker here.
I spent the next 30 minutes of celebration doing 90 on the highway screaming sounds i haven’t said since i was a sophmore in high school. I forgot how creative i can be sometimes.
I’ve since been in contact with his camp and we’re scheduled to roll out and show face at the Texan’s game on 11/21/10.
*Approaching The Podium*
I want to take this time to remind people of the primary reasons that i took on this challenge:
- I wanted to exemplify to the world that it’s possible to follow your heart, even if that’s “unrealistic”. I also wanted to inspire, encourage, and empower people to pursue an extraordinary life – whatever that may mean for you.
- The world needs demonstration more than instruction. When i wrote “Why It’s Realistic To Be Unrealistic“, i whole-heartedly believed it, but i didn’t have the nitty-gritty expert experience of embodying the philosophy behind it. When i balls-to-the-walls got called out and accepted the challenge, i knew it was on purpose.
In the next update, I’m going to share with you the most valuable lessons learned during the duration of doing this. We can deem it “The Gutsy Guide To Grabbing Your Heart’s Holdings.”
Bonus Video + Sensophy’s Future
I’m continuing to get clarity over what the next steps for Sensophy will look like. Now that we have some momentum, i’m starting to play with the idea of monetizing to support my lifestyle and continue growing Sensophy. One of the ways i’m thinking about doing this is by creating a product. Whaddah’ ya’ think?
Your feedback is massively important in doing this. I wanna’ make sure that i’m creating something of great value for you – so, i created an anonymous survey.
I trust that you’ll spend less than one minute helping me by filling it out. At the end, you’ll get a link to the outrageous second video i shot after finding out the big news. I have a feeling it may bring a smile to your face. -=) Thank you in advance!!
The Bonus Video!
On Purpose,
Jacob
They made the CHANGE... What about you?

J,
That's really impressive. I was secretly rooting for you and am glad that you achieved your goal. Who's next? I have decided that my next goal is to go to a Giant game with you. Let me know when you get the tickets. I prefer 50 yard line, doesn't have to be front row.
