Are you up on one of my favorite books: The Alchemist? It’s a redonkulously dope book. As the subheading says, it’s “a magical fable about following your dreams.” Can you dig it?!?!
As the author Paulo Coelho says, “To realized ones destiny is a person’s only obligation.”
This book takes us through the journey of a shepherd boy named Santiago who travels to distant lands in pursuit of his treasure.
I’ve taken out some of my favorite quotes from the book and assembled them into the list below. Enjoy!

Im downloading the book right now. I found it interesting that The Alchemist was first published in Brazil in 1988. And since we're quoting inspirational shit, heres a quote I used recently in one of my posts that seams apropos :-)

I connect with "hunches" because listening to MY intuition was a huge lesson for me.
I used to believe that little voice was not something worth listening too….simply because it sounded like me, and what the hell did I know about anything.Once I reallized it was something Higher, somthing that had MY best interest in mind, and used my voice because it was beautiful and trustworthy
Now I do my best to listen…because it knows what I need, and where I need to go.

This is a book that I must read! Thanks for mentioning it and leaving these awesome quotes. My favorite is #17. Realizing that wishing for the future and not enjoying the process of where I am in the present is wasteful, unappreciative and ultimately eats away at my happiness.

Thanks for the post. My life has changed 1,000 ways since reading and re reading The Alchemist. I just started following my dream again. I feel like I was in the tea shop ready to give it all up – go back to a 'normal' life but I decided to set out again for my 'pyramids.' I love that the universe brought me to this post when I was just doubting myself a bit. Cheers!
