Sensophy’s Inner Circle – Week 67

Big Idea #1: Execute, Then Course-Correct

You know that part of you that thinks you need to know something perfectly before you take action on it? Yeah, it’s in all of us somewhere! We might know what we wanna do, but sometimes we think we need to wait until we feel “ready” to actually take action on it.

But really, this is just a way that we keep ourselves stuck in one place! When all we’re doing is receiving information, rather than taking action…. this is a problem.

The best businesses or performers don’t over-analyze. They execute, then they course-correct along the way, while they’re already in action. It’s not about “having it all figured out” before taking the first step – and you can see this put into play with the most successful people and businesses out there.

So the next step is to ask: Where are you looking to go? And what type of action would serve you the most? Then, how can you go about taking that action in one small step today?

If things were to go as well as they possibly could go, what would that look like?

There’s a difference between a concept and an action. So many of us are so inspired by the concepts that we never end up taking action on those things that actually inspire us! People feel like they’re following their heart, so they spend all this time watching videos online or reading books…. but it’s taking action that’s *really* following our heart!

Big Idea #2: The “Why” Of Your Business: Service!

Here’s a secret that lots of people don’t know about starting a business:

You don’t need an official opening or big flashy launch of your business. You just need to start putting yourself out there and serving people from your heart.

When we make it all about launching our business, our URL, our website, getting our message out to the world…. we might have good intentions, but there is a shadow side. Because we are actually making it about us. And we get in our own way by making it about us!

So instead of focusing on your message, branding, designing, hosting, etc… reground in the fact that there are people out there who are suffering and need some serious support in life. And YOU are the one who has an ability to help them!

When we see a situation where someone might be able to use some support, we often make excuses for why we shouldn’t bother this person, shouldn’t reach out, shouldn’t piss them off…. etc. It’s so easy to use these excuses and brush off the situation, to protect our own ego.

But when we put aside our people-pleasing tendency of “what will they think of me”, not only do we help people, but this is how we make money! People wanna hire us when we put ourselves out there purely in the spirit of serving them completely.

There are people out there who are in a lot of pain, and you don’t need to be an expert, you don’t need to have all the answers… all you need to do is be willing to offer your service in a way that might make your heart pound a little bit. You’re doing it because these people are hurting, and you might be able to help them.

You might even want to take charging off the table for awhile to ensure that this isn’t about you making money and being successful. It’s about you providing profound service – and after you do this for so long- you will have honed a service that is so incredible and that you are proud to share with the world.

Big Idea #3: Getting Into Alignment With Your Heart

Your greatest strength can also be your greatest weakness.

If you’re really smart and great at using your logical skills, it might help you out a LOT in your life. But it also might enable you to use that intelligence to avoid your fear.

When you live in your head, you’re probably really great at going through all these various steps, and rationalizing and justifying things. Creating this long complicated path for how we think we need to get somewhere… rather than just listening to our heart and where it says to go.

Because the truth isn’t always so complicated. The truth is often very clear in how we feel. So how can we get more clear on what our heart is really saying?

Try a journaling exercise to get more in alignment with your inner voice.

What kind of change do you want to make in the world?

What kind of service would be really meaningful to you?

Getting clearer about what’s really going on for you can cut through some of the rationalizations that may arise in your head!
