Sensophy’s Inner Circle – Week 74

Big Idea #1: You’re Already There

It’s great to have mentors and people we look up to, because when we surround ourselves with people who are where we want to be, that’s the direction we’re going to go. But watch out for the trap of feeling like you always need to become better or be in a different place than where you already are.

Often times when we see other people on their paths, we may feel like they are where we need to be. We feel like we won’t be okay until we can finally get to that place where these other people are… that we aren’t far enough down the path. We might say to ourselves, “Once I get there, then my life will be good!” But until that point, we feel like we have so much work to do until we can be truly happy.

Just keep in mind that this mindset truly is only an illusion. The fact is that everyone goes through challenges, and the people you look up to probably feel the same exact way at times. There is no “ending point” in life – we’re not working and striving towards some particular, ideal place. The beauty is all about the process, about opening up, sharing and living the journey as it comes – knowing that you’re already exactly where you need to be.

Big Idea #2: Ask The Right Questions

We often hear that when we’re going into a new endeavor or project, that we need to know our “why”. But sometimes, getting caught up in these questions can hold us back more than they serve us. Are these questions worth asking? Sometimes the trap we fall into is asking questions that aren’t really serving us. Just because people outside you are asking you to find your “why”, it doesn’t mean that’s going to be the most supportive question for you.

A better question might be “what is it that your heart and soul is craving?” Exploring this question can get you way closer to what it is that you really want and need, rather than spinning around with questions that the outside world is throwing at you.

Big Idea #3: Working With Your Flow

Do you ever feel like you have way too much on your plate, like it’s so overwhelming to get your life organized? Sometimes it can seem like everyone else has their lives sorted out and we’re the only ones feeling crazy!

Be aware of how you’re feeling, and take the action that’s in alignment with what space you’re in. If you’re not in a good emotional space, don’t force yourself to do the “heavy lifting” that takes a lot of energy, and definitely don’t make any important decisions from this place!

It’s so important to maintain awareness of your own mind and emotional states, so you will know which decisions to make and which to leave for a time when you’re in a better state.

Keep in mind that if you’re a woman, you’re not always going to feel the same way during all times of the month. Your moods and energy levels will ebb and flow with your cycle, and understanding this flow can help you schedule the best activities for the most ideal times of the month.
