Sensophy’s Inner Circle – Week 77

Big Idea #1: Caring For Yourself First

If you’re ever feeling like your life isn’t quite in alignment with your inner truth or needs, it might be time to ask: “Where am I not honoring my own truth?”

Are you connected to yourself and your own needs? Are you connected to your own well-being, and speaking the truth about what you really need in order to be okay? (without feeling guilty about it!)

It’s really hard to take care of someone else if we’re not taking care of ourselves. This goes not only for taking care of other people, but also for creating a business or whatever we want to create with our lives. We need to intentionally create constraints in our life, so we don’t find ourselves overwhelmed trying to do *everything.* Instead, focus on one or two things that will really make the biggest impact in your day.

It’s one thing to have enough time and money to create our ideal lives, but it’s another thing entirely to take care of ourselves and get our basic needs met. In order to get to the point where we’re creating from a place of purpose, we need to prioritize our own needs. If something’s not aligning on the inside, you can’t look outside to fix it – but you can look to yourself to nourish yourself, inside and out!

Big Idea #2: Exploring Your Relationship With Money

How can we merge money with spirituality? Oftentime we feel like the two can’t go hand in hand. Being spiritual AND rich just isn’t something that many people talk about – but you’re the only one who can build your own awareness about your money stories.

Maybe you’re wanting money to flow into your life, but feeling like there’s something blocking that flow.

Do you feel afraid about who you would be if you did start earning a greater amount of money? Do you feel like your relationships would change? Is there a part of you that feels like if you start to earn more money, then life would become more stressful? These are all questions that can help you explore and possibly dislodge any blocks that are preventing wealth from flowing into your life.

Take some time with a notebook and pen and write down the words “Money is…” finish the sentence. That sentence might be “moneys is power”, “money is stress”, “money is secure”… whatever comes up for you, write it down 20 times. You’ll become super aware of your current beliefs around money, and from here you have the chance to work through those beliefs and change them.

Big Idea #3: The #1 Habit

Sometimes the things that feel the heaviest and hardest end up being the things that teach us the most in life. We actually have to go through things that feel really hard in order to develop the skills and strengths we need to deepen our character and create our ideal lives.

So what are the tools we can use to get out of a “stuck” situation? Try creating new habits. Or more specifically, “a” habit. Trying to change all of our habits is straight up overwhelming, and setting you up for failure. So instead, what’s the #1 thing that if you started doing, would help you in every area of your life?

You don’t actually have to stress yourself out trying to change all the areas of your life. The most important thing is to establish that one habit that’s going to improve your life all-around. What’s going to help you take care of yourself, and get to an emotionally stable place of good health, where you can make good decisions? This might be meditation, it might be writing everyday, or it might be mindfully preparing breakfast in the morning. The point is, you know deep down what you need to start doing in order to nourish your body, mind and spirit – so start doing that thing today, commit to doing that one thing everyday, and allow yourself to be nourished and show up strong and healthy in your life.
