“I’ve got good news and bad news…” she said to me.

“Bad news: I totally didn’t think I was going to like this week’s podcast.”

“Good news: I was wrong.”

That was Ali on Team Sensophy and she was referring to the experiment I’m launching on the podcast called “WTF BEATS”.

Welcome to WTF BEATS…

What most people don’t know about me is that I didn’t read a book (front to back) until I was 20 years old. I loved learning – but not traditional things – so school bored the hell out of me.

Back in the days before I knew about psychology… before philosophy… before sociology… there was HIP-HOP.

That was my source of wisdom. Wu-Tang. Nas. Tupac. And 100s more.

In WTF BEATS, I’m going to introduce you to some of the wisest, most insightful, and dopest tracks. And then, we’re gonna unpack the wisdom and see how you can use it to create better lives with more purpose.

If you’re not into hip hop, give this a shot. As Ali continued in her email to me: “It wound up being super interesting for someone who grew up listening to James Taylor and Fleetwood Mac.”

WTF Beats: Jedi Mind Tricks – End of Days

The first song I decided to showcase is called End of Days from an artist named Vinnie Paz (of the group Jedi Mind Tricks).

We explore what stops us from having freedom and how you can become aware of what’s keeping you stuck.

You can download the MP3 here

Or, get more goodness by subscribing to WTF in iTunes!

More from Jedi Mind Tricks.

Here’s the full version of the “End of Days” song I sample in WTF BEATS.

Here’s another classic track talks about the effects of pop-culture on our society.

This track, “Shadow Business”, talks about some of the conditions of factory workers overseas in Asia.

Should we do more WTF BEATS?!

Drop a comment below and let me know if you’d like more of these kinds of episodes.

I’d love to hear what you liked about this and what you didn’t.

Thx for rocking with us!
